From our office in Paramus, NJ, we are looking for a strategic, technical, and client-obsessed leader to join our team and drive measurable success for our key accounts.
The Role: What You'll Do
As a Client Success Manager, you are the primary strategic partner for our clients, acting as the bridge between their business ambitions and BMG's technical and marketing delivery teams. You are not just a relationship manager; you are a growth architect.
Your portfolio will be focused on clients who have complex needs spanning Search Engine Optimization (SEO), HubSpot-powered marketing automation, and custom technology development (e.g., e-commerce builds, API integrations). Your job is to ensure we deliver transformative results, retain and grow our clients, and solidify BMG's position as an indispensable partner.
Key Responsibilities
Client Strategy & Leadership:
- Serve as the lead point of contact and trusted advisor for your client portfolio.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' business models, industries, and growth objectives.
- Proactively develop and present long-term strategic roadmaps that leverage SEO, HubSpot, and our tech capabilities to achieve client goals.
- Lead strategic client meetings, QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews), and performance check-ins, translating complex data into actionable insights and narratives of value.
SEO Program-Level Oversight:
- Partner with the SEO team to oversee the strategy and performance of client campaigns.
- Communicate the "why" behind our SEO strategy, including our forward-thinking approach to Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI Optimization (AIO).
- Analyze performance data to identify new opportunities for organic growth (technical, on-page, and off-page) and articulate this value to the client.
HubSpot & Marketing Automation:
- Act as the client-facing subject matter expert on HubSpot.
- Collaborate with clients to map their customer journey and architect seamless HubSpot integrations (marketing, sales, and service hubs).
- Advise on lead-nurturing workflows, marketing automation, and reporting strategies that turn their CRM into a predictable growth engine.
Tech Development Project Management:
- Oversee the success of tech projects, from bespoke Shopify e-commerce builds to complex Python-based data integrations.
- Work with our engineering and development teams to translate client business requirements into technical specifications.
- Manage client expectations, project timelines, and communication loops, ensuring tech projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
Commercial & Account Growth:
- Proactively identify and cultivate opportunities for account expansion, whether through new services, projects, or retainers.
- Lead the renewal and contract negotiation process for your clients.
- Ensure client retention, health, and profitability across your portfolio.
What We're Looking For: Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in a Client Success, Account Management, or strategic Project Management role within a digital agency or B2B tech environment.
- HubSpot Expertise: Must be highly proficient with the HubSpot platform. Proven experience managing or advising on HubSpot implementations (Marketing Hub, Sales Hub) is required. (HubSpot certifications are a major plus).
- SEO Acumen: A strong, strategic understanding of modern SEO principles (technical, content, authority) and the ability to confidently discuss SEO performance and strategy with clients.
- Technical Fluency: You must be "tech-savvy." You're not required to be a developer, but you need to be comfortable discussing technical development projects (e.g., websites, e-commerce, APIs, data integrations) with both clients and internal engineering teams.
- Strategic Mindset: You're a "big picture" thinker who can connect client's business problems to tangible digital solutions.
- Communication & Presence: Exceptional verbal and written communication. You have a confident, professional presence and are skilled at presenting data, ideas, and strategies to executive-level audiences.
- Leadership & Proactivity: You are a self-starter who takes ownership of client relationships and outcomes. You don't wait for problems to happen; you anticipate them.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (especially Shopify).
- Familiarity with performance marketing (PPC, Paid Social).
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Monday.com).
