Client Transportation

The Genesis Center exists to be a place of hope, transformation and empowerment for individuals on their journey to recovery from substance use disorders and mental health concerns. Our partnership with faith-based sober living facilities in the community gives individuals access to services that they require on their journey to sobriety. The Genesis Centers provides a spectrum of outpatient services that includes Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP), Case Management, Peer Support, Individual Counseling, and Aftercare Services. Our community partnership provides clients an opportunity for stability that comes from a longer program,. This affords them an increased opportunity for further development of sobriety as a state of mind and spirit that contributes to the betterment of our clients, their loved ones, and the community at large.

Job Summary:

Provide the transportation of clients to and from hospitals, facilities, and other appointments in a safe, secure and professional manner. Completion of on-site tasks as assigned by the supervisor and Site Director in support of the Genesis Center team and the organizational value of excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primary focus is transporting clients utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manner
  • Effectively communicates with the team regarding schedule progress and to receive instructions
  • Maintain a professional image and attitude in regards to clients, visitors and co‐workers
  • Complete daily vehicle pre‐trip and post trip inspections, and maintain vehicle cleanliness
  • Assist clients and patients as needed to safely complete the transfer
  • Accurately complete daily activity/transportation log reports
  • Understand and operate GPS devices, 2 way radios, and cell phones
  • Work with supervisory staff to ensure any departmental QI/QA policies are being implemented and achieved
  • Light site maintenance duties that include regular inspections (daily, weekly, monthly, annually), shopping for supplies
  • Any additional duties as assigned by supervisor/Site Director

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Strong communication ability
  • Exceed minimum age requirement of 25 years.
  • Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s license
  • No more than 1 moving violation or 1 “at fault” accident within the past 3 years.
  • Pass a mandatory pre‐employment drug and alcohol screening.
  • Must be physically able to step up and down steps, safely secure clients for transport, lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must pass a mandatory criminal background test

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
