About the Role:

We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Director of Nursing to oversee our nursing department at Medical West, UAB. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, managing nursing staff, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. As the Clinical Director of Nursing, you will play a critical role in maintaining the standards of nursing practice and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of Alabama
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Nursing or related field
• Certification in nursing leadership or administration
• Experience in a hospital or acute care setting

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and patient care delivery
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Manage and mentor nursing staff, providing ongoing training and development opportunities
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and nursing department activities
