Clinic Nurse Manager

Description: The Clinic Nurse Manager is the essential link between the physician and his/her patients, professional associates, and equipment and medical suppliers. He/she assists in the patient teaching activities and maintains the standards of a professional nurse. The Clinic Nurse Manager is responsible for leadership and management of the clinic nursing staff. He/she will provide day-to-day operational, technical and problem-solving leadership on administrative matters including, but not limited to: scheduling, customer service, preauthorization, billing/coding requirements, EMR functionality and utilization. Supervises nurses and clinical staff. Completes functions such as interviewing, employee relations, performance evaluations, discipline and terminations. Supports and participates in quality assurance and improvement.

Number of Hours: Full-Time 36-40 per week

Schedule: Monday –Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, Saturday morning rotation 8am-12pm; typically, 4 times annually.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare related field or equivalent experience required. 2-4 years managerial/supervisory experience preferred.

Other: The applicant must work well with patients, physicians, and staff in the utmost professional and confidential manner. Flexibility in job duties is a must. He/she must be a good communicator, good team player and be willing to participate in quality assurance and performance. Reports to the Director of Clinic Services.
