Description:


The Clinic Team Supervisor is proficient in all tasks performed by clinical staff members. Additionally, the Clinic Team Supervisor acts as a role model, trainer, and mentor for clinic staff. Works cooperatively with other Clinic Team Supervisors to coordinate and facilitate completion of work required to provide high levels of patient care and service. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and standards.

Essential Duties:

  • Promotes teamwork and enhances a positive work environment. Encourages and supports teamwork and mutual respect among all coworkers.
  • Possesses excellent customer service skills and acts as a role model in providing exceptional service.
  • Works in conjunction with Clinic Manager on personnel issues, including training, disciplinary action, and completing performance evaluations of their direct reports.
  • Responsible for ensuring team members gather and deliver information in accordance with the patient centered medical home huddles.
  • Reviews patient’s charts and identifies gaps in patient care in accordance with the patient center medical home model.
  • Coordinates with other Clinic Team Supervisors and the Clinic Manager to identify and address opportunities to provide better patient care and services.
  • Determines work priorities and assigns work to ensure timely work flow for patient care.
  • Assigns nursing care team members in accordance with the patient needs and the staff members’ capabilities and qualifications.
  • Provides directions and monitoring of medication administration by medication aides.
  • Assists providers with special tests and procedures within the standard scope of practice.
  • Assist in clinic with patient care as needed. Including, but not limited to, rooming patients, medication refills, referrals, and phone calls.
  • Triage patients in person and via telephone.
  • Responsible for ensuring medication refills are completed, patients are compliant with medications, and appropriate follow-up is completed.
  • Completes medical prior authorization, as needed.
  • Assumes self responsibility for all direct patient care activities as indicated by the Registered Nurse within the scope of the LPN license.
  • Makes operational decisions as appropriate in the absence of the Clinic Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:


  • Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska
  • Certified – Basic Life Support
  • 3 years nursing experience preferred
  • 1 year clinic experience preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong Computer Skills required
  • Electronic Medical Record experience preferred
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Highly organized and ability to meet deadlines
  • Attentive to detail, quality and accuracy
  • Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to interrelate with wide variety of people
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality

  • High Energy and Positive Attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure
