Full-Time - Monday-Friday, either 7:30am-3:30pm or 8am-4pm

$21.25 to $35/hr depending on credentials & experience

Summary:

Facilitates the efficient operation of the assigned department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks. Attends to short-term tasks, as well as ongoing project-based tasks relating to team protocol and development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Interfaces with Hospice Clinical Management Team and corresponding team members or departments.

Greeting and check-in guests. Accepts and directs deliveries.

Demonstrates proficiency in organizational processes and perform clerical duties, as assigned.

Respond to priority calls/requests and circumstance-based activities of team members.

Maintains filing systems and the security of patient electronic/written records.

Adheres to requirements of both CHPC and Hospice Buffalo policies and procedures that are both patient focused (clinical) and organizational focused (administrative); Adheres to HIPPA regulations and policies.

Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions.

Maintains office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment/building.

Monitor completion of reports/records for clinical team within scope of the Clinical Administrative Assistant.

Assists with projects as needed, including data gathering, compiling, interpretation and dissemination of information.

Phone support as requested with customer service focused engagement in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team.

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Expected to perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education / Certification

Graduate of an accredited School of Licensed Practical Nursing with current LPN licensure or completion or an accredited Medical Assistant program with current MA certification in the State of New York, or relevant experience determined to be approximately equivalent.

Experience

Minimum of (2) Years of LPN or MA clinical experience is preferred.

Experience in an administrative role in a health care environment preferred.

Experience and proficiency with EMR required.
