Job Overview
The Medicine and Emergency Care Board at Newcastle Hospitals Trust, consists of a range of specialities including Emergency Department/UTC, Medicine, Renal Services, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Diabetes, Immunology and General Internal Medicine. The board are entering an exciting new era for our administration workforce. We are looking for a talented individual who wish to pursue a career in this area.

Working with Board PA to provide a comprehensive support service to Management Team, Matrons, and other clinical members of the team i.e. Clinical Directors

Provide cover for PA/Personal Secretary within the Board as required

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
We are looking for a conscientious individual with an enthusiastic outlook to fulfil the role of Clinical Administrator for Medicine & Emergency Care Board based at Freeman Hospital. Offering a full efficient administration and secretarial service to our Management Team within the Board this role is crucial in ensuring we are able to offer the highest level of patient care and management.
The successful candidate will have the motivational skills to integrate well with the existing teams and demonstrate true organisational skills. Applicants will be reliable whilst having a flexible working approach in supporting systems and their functions. The post holder will have a genuine desire to provide a quality administration service for patients with a clear understanding of patient confidentiality. The role has lots of variety and ad-hoc demands and the post holder must possess excellent time management and planning skills.

Working within a team of administrative staff to provide a comprehensive support service to Consultants, Medical Staff and other clinical members of their team e.g. Specialist Nurses and Therapists

Level 3 qualification in administration or equivalent/relevant experience in administrative role(s)

Maths qualification at Level 1 (GCSE Grades 3-2 or D-F, or Functional or Key Skills at Level 1
