The Clinical Applications Support Administrator will support the systems administrator in managing and maintaining our the various healthcare systems used to provide care to patients at Nascentia Health. This role involves assisting with system installations, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support to users. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
Performance Responsibilities and Standards:
- Monitor system and user performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
- Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and training purposes.
- Collaborate with the systems administrator on projects and initiatives needed for the organizational operations.
- Assist in software updates notifications to appropriate end users.
- Participate in Systems projects and initiatives as assigned, contributing ideas and feedback.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in systems administration.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, HCHB) and network protocols.
- Familiarity with hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently, and part of a team as well as collaboratively with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Experience with system monitoring tools and administrative software, preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for automation preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand at a desk 90% of the day. Frequent sitting, standing, walking.
- Visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written or verbal communication.
- Ability to express oneself verbally and in writing.
- Ability to use the telephone and communicate over the phone.
- Extended periods of computer use.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds.
- Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Category III - Employee who rarely has contact with blood and body fluids.
