Overview
We are seeking a motivated Patient Care Coordinators to join our MOBILE UNIT outpatient medical services team. VERY GOOD in PHLEBOTOMY a must. This role is ideal for organized, adaptable professionals who work well in a paired, team-based environment and have worked with HIV/STD and IV drug abusers or health department. An ideal candidate is passionate about delivering public healthcare within communities to HIV/STD and IV drug abusers, deliver high-quality patient care across this community and surrounding counties in Florida.
This position requires strong phlebotomy skills, flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively in dynamic care settings.
Duties
- Perform basic health screenings and blood and urine specimen collection (phlebotomy experience required)
- Assist with patient intake, scheduling, follow-ups, and EMR/EHR documentation
- Work as part of a two-person care coordination team at community sites
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Travel locally in mobile unit to support outpatient and community-based services
- Maintain professionalism and patient confidentiality in secure environments
Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in phlebotomy, medical assisting, or a related clinical field
- Phlebotomy/specimen collection experience required
- Knowledge of HIV/STD prevention, counseling, or risk assessment preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Comfortable working with diverse populations
- Ability and willingness work in a mobile unit
- Saturday availability A MUST
- Comfortable using EMR/EHR systems (or willing to learn)
- Demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and excellent interpersonal skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
