Clinical Coordinator - Registered Nurse

We are looking for a dedicated and highly skilled Clinical Coordinator - Registered Nurse to oversee and coordinate patient care activities in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive clinical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. This role involves managing nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and facilitating effective communication among multidisciplinary teams. The Clinical Coordinator is essential in maintaining high-quality care delivery. The Clinical Coordinator acts as a vital link between administrative efficiency and exceptional patient care, serving as the primary liaison among patients, surgical staff, and physicians.

The ideal candidate will be a leadership-oriented professional with a solid clinical background, capable of managing complex surgical schedules while ensuring strict regulatory compliance. This role will work closely with the Administrator/Director of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities

Surgical & Operational Coordination:

  • Manage the operative schedule and coordinate resource needs (equipment, specialty instrumentation) with surgeons.
  • Maintain and update surgeon preference cards for room set-up and medications.
  • Monitor clinic capacity and resolve potential scheduling conflicts in advance.

Patient Care Management:

  • Coordinate comprehensive care plans, including pre-operative screenings and post-operative follow-up.
  • Triage patient calls and provide detailed education on procedures and wound care.
  • Liaise between patients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care

Leadership & Compliance:

  • Supervise and train clinical staff on department standards, safety protocols, and new technologies. Provide training, mentorship, and supervision to nursing staff on procedures such as IV insertion, sterile techniques, medication administration, and critical nursing skills.
  • Ensure all facility activities align with HIPAA regulations, institutional safety standards, and infection control protocols to safeguard patient confidentiality and safety.
  • Assist in budget management, inventory control, and operational workflow improvements.

Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is required, while a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of clinical experience, ideally gained in a surgery center or a pain management environment. Previous leadership or management experience is highly regarded, as it demonstrates the ability to effectively oversee teams, manage workflows, and contribute to operational excellence within a healthcare facility. Extensive clinical experience in acute care settings

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Current NYS RN licensure
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Essential Skills

  • Leadership: Ability to mentor staff and manage multidisciplinary teams under pressure.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills for building rapport with patients and collaborating with providers.
  • Organization: Meticulous attention to detail in documentation and schedule management.
  • Problem Solving: Critical thinking to resolve operational gaps and patient concerns promptly.

Pay: $112,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
