The Clinical Data Quality Analyst ensures the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of clinical and quality data used to inform patient safety, regulatory reporting, operational decisions, and performance improvement. This role maintains LMH Health’s Quality databases and registries, performs data validation and integrity checks, partner’s cross‑functionally to deliver actionable analyses, and provides role-based training to enhance data literacy and effective use of data assets.
Data Quality & Registry Operations
- Maintain data quality standards for Quality-owned databases and external submissions (e.g., Vizient CDB, NHSN, GWTG, AJRR, Press Ganey).
- Execute routine data integrity checks, reconciliation, and file structure reviews to ensure completeness and validity.
- Assist with metric specification alignment, regulatory requirements, and understanding outcome impact.
- Support data validation cycles; investigate anomalies, outliers, and missingness; coordinate corrections with data owners.
- Track and document data quality issues, root causes, and resolutions; maintain data dictionaries and SOPs.
Analytics & Reporting
- Deliver analytic support and interpretation for clinical leaders, Quality & Safety, Performance Improvement, and operations.
- Build recurring and ad‑hoc reports/dashboards (e.g., trends, benchmarks, variance, risk-adjusted outcomes where applicable).
- Partner with clinical, operational, and enterprise analytics teams to align definitions and accelerate analysis for annual goals.
- Support reporting automation and version control; document logic and refresh schedules.
Clinical Database (CDB) Coordination
- Serve as the internal point of contact for CDB access, training, and coordination of user roles.
- Ensure alignment between database capabilities and end user needs; escalate issues as appropriate.
- Contribute to data management plans and ensure published data assets meet quality, consistency, and accessibility standards.
Training & Data Literacy
- Provide training to quality professionals and teams on database queries, standard reports, data definitions, and visualization tools.
- Promote equitable, culturally competent data practices; support stratified analyses as appropriate.
Compliance & Governance
- Follow data governance, privacy, and security policies (HIPAA, organizational standards).
- Support audit readiness for internal/external quality data submissions; retain evidence per policy.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Biostatistics, Public Health, Nursing, Analytics, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in healthcare data, quality reporting, registries, or clinical analytics (or 2+ years with strong internship/clinical registry exposure).
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) on hire or within 24 months of hire
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in Health Information Technology or similar
- Experience in healthcare quality or performance improvement
- Micro-credential in Health Data Analytics from NAHQ or nursing informatics certification
