The analyst will serve as the primary expert for the organization’s EMR and EHR platforms (such as:
Athenahealth
and
eClinicalWorks
). This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of clinical data, from ensuring efficient data entry workflows to generating complex, actionable reports that drive business decisions and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:

Data Extraction & Reporting:
Run and automate complex reports from EMRs such as: Athena and eCW to support various departments, including business team, data team, clinical operations, and quality management.

Analysis & Insights:
Perform analysis on clinical datasets to identify trends, outliers, and opportunities for process improvement.

EMR Optimization:
Partner with the practice’s clinical teams to optimize data entry workflows, ensuring that the information being captured is reportable and accurate.

Documentation Excellence:
Strictly adhere to internal documentation standards for all data requests and Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).

Quality Assurance:
Conduct regular audits of clinical data to ensure accuracy across multiple platforms and troubleshoot any reporting discrepancies or logic errors.
Requirements:

Experience: 3–5 years of experience working within EMRs like Athenahealth and eClinicalWorks (eCW).

Data Proficiency: Advanced skills in data extraction and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS) for data reporting.

SQL & Power BI are good to have.

Solid understanding of healthcare-specific data sets (ICD-10, CPT codes, HL7 standards) and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and MIPS.

Demonstrated ability to handle large, unstructured clinical datasets and convert them into structured, meaningful reports.
