Clinical Director of Licensed Settings

REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Autism Services
STARTING WAGE: $81,375 adjusted for relevant education and experience.
FLSA STATUS: Exempt

As Clinical Director, you serve as the clinical heartbeat of our licensed programs. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, ABA-focused treatment while fostering an environment rooted in Residential Opportunities Inc.’s (ROI) core values of diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism.

What You’ll Do


  • Clinical Leadership: Oversee the delivery of assessments, intakes, and therapy services for children, adolescents, and adults.

  • Mentorship & Supervision: Directly supervise and develop BCBAs, pre- and post-doctoral fellows, and practicum students.

  • Program Innovation: Use ABA principles to ensure quality programming and assist in the presentation of research data related to program outcomes.

  • Strategic Collaboration: Act as a high-level liaison between families, service teams, and collateral agencies to ensure seamless transitions and holistic care.

  • Operational Oversight: Manage caseload assignments, participate in budget monitoring, and ensure all clinical services meet state, federal, and BCAL regulations.

What We’re Looking For


  • An Expert Clinician: You have at least 3 years of experience conducting assessments and implementing evidence-based treatments for individuals with severe challenging behaviors.

  • A Proven Leader: You possess the "soft skills" to manage a team and the "hard skills" to analyze complex data and clinical systems.

  • A Community Advocate: You are committed to ROI’s vision of an anti-racist organization and enjoy building positive relationships with community partners.

  • Detail-Oriented: You can pivot from high-level strategic planning to the fine details of a clinical audit or crisis intervention.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field (with heavy coursework in ABA and research methodology).

  • Certification: Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing.

  • Licensure: Licensed in the State of Michigan (LBA) or eligible for immediate licensure.

  • Supervision: Must be an Approved Supervisor through the BACB.

  • Background: Experience in residential programs is strongly preferred; must have a valid driver’s license and approved driver status.
