Clinical Education Coordinator - Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine

Position Summary: Salary range based on experience

The Clinical Education Coordinator will support the day-to-day curricular and administrative activities of the Office of Clinical Education in support of the Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine (MSOM). This position plays an important role in supporting clinical clerkships and other activities for third- and fourth-year medical students and PA students in their second year. Overall, the role supports the day-to-day management of the MSOM Clinical Education Department.

Reports to: Director of Clinical Education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and administer clinical rotation schedules for medical students, PA students, visiting students, and other learners in accordance with program requirements and educational objectives.
  • Manage onboarding and orientation requirements for students and preceptors, including background checks, immunization compliance, confidentiality documentation, badging, and site-specific requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison for students, preceptors, faculty, partner schools, and clinical sites regarding scheduling, logistics, expectations, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records related to students, preceptors, rotations, onboarding materials, and required documentation.
  • Develop, update, and distribute clinical education materials, including syllabi, handbooks, forms, and online resources.
  • Coordinate processes related to student evaluations, preceptor feedback, and clinical site evaluations, including distribution, collection, tracking, and reporting.
  • Support the affiliation agreement process and maintain current agreements with partner institutions and participating clinical sites.
  • Assist with the review, development, and implementation of policies and procedures related to clinical education operations and compliance.
  • Provide administrative support for clinical education activities, faculty development communications, examinations, and other functions of the Office of Clinical Education.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and support student advising, career development, and residency preparation initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An associate degree or equivalent experience is required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in an educational or business setting with proven experience as an independent individual contributor and a team player.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and work effectively independently.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and artificial intelligence platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, including professionals, faculty, preceptors, team members, students, and alumni.
