Job Summary:
Position Title: Clinical Informatics Analyst

Job Summary:
The Clinical Informatics Analyst leads the integration of technology, data analytics, and clinical workflows across the Nursing Home Division to improve provider efficiency, documentation quality, and operational performance. This role serves as a liaison between clinical leadership, operations, compliance, revenue cycle, and IT to ensure clinical systems support regulatory requirements and business objectives. The position drives initiatives such as AI-assisted documentation, clinical workflow optimization, analytics dashboards, and referral tracking tools. It also supports improvements in billing accuracy, provider productivity, and operational visibility through data-driven insights. By leveraging technology and analytics, the role advances strategic initiatives related to care coordination, facility partnerships, and transitions of care across the post-acute continuum.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Technology & Product Development

  • Lead the development and implementation of AI-enabled documentation tools and prompt-based frameworks for standardized note types including APCM, Annual Wellness Visits, Monthly SNF visits, Advance Care Planning, Admissions, Discharges, and Remote Patient Monitoring.
  • Ensure documentation workflows remain E&M compliant and aligned with CMS and payer documentation standards, coordinating review and approvals with Medical Directors, Compliance, and IT prior to deployment.
  • Serve as the clinical product lead for the Essen Billing App, translating operational and billing needs into system requirements and coordinating with IT on feature development, testing, and deployment.
  • Lead user acceptance testing and implementation support, ensuring technology solutions meet operational requirements prior to launch.
  • Monitor documentation quality and continuously refine AI-enabled workflows to improve accuracy, efficiency, and provider experience.

Data Analytics & Operational Intelligence

  • Develop operational and leadership dashboards using platforms such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Design reporting frameworks that provide visibility into provider productivity, facility census trends, encounter volume, and clinical performance metrics.
  • Provide leadership with actionable insights and performance monitoring to support operational decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Develop analytics that evaluate facility-level performance, including admissions volume, census contribution, and clinical outcomes.
  • Maintain data integrity and reporting consistency across systems to ensure reliable analytics.

Clinical Workflow Optimization & Care Coordination

  • Partner with clinical leadership to optimize provider workflows across admissions, monthly visits, discharges, and care coordination.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce administrative burden and improve provider efficiency through improved clinical systems and documentation processes.
  • Develop systems to track patient referrals and transitions across the care continuum and identify gaps, including hospital admissions, SNF placements, and community discharges.

Strategic Initiatives & Technology Adoption

  • Collaborate with clinical leadership and revenue cycle teams to analyze coding patterns, improve documentation education, and support billing accuracy.
  • Support leadership initiatives related to preferred facility networks and strategic facility partnerships through data analysis and operational insights.
  • Serve as a clinical technology champion for physicians and nurse practitioners, leading onboarding, training, and adoption of new tools and workflows.
  • Gather provider feedback and work with IT and leadership to continuously refine clinical technology solutions.
  • Support data-driven operational decision-making and long-term informatics strategy for the Nursing Home Division.
Qualifications:
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Medical School Degree highly preferred

Skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data, implement quality improvement initiatives, and measure program outcomes.
  • Computer literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of care transition processes, discharge planning, and community resources.
  • Aware of and complies with Nursing Home guidelines
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and improving healthcare delivery
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

License/Certification

AI and/or Data Analytics certifications

Work Experience
At least 2 years working in or with Nursing Homes
Healthcare administrative experience
