Outreach is hiring a Full-time Clinical Intake Coordinator for 32 hours a week at Outreach Counseling Center Carol Stream to serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking counseling services and plays a critical role in ensuring a smooth, organized, and client-centered intake process. This position is responsible for conducting intake screenings and starting initial assessments, coordinating scheduling and referrals, initiating documentation, and collaborating with clinical and revenue teams to ensure timely access to care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and skilled at managing multiple workflows while delivering excellent client service.

Responsibilities
-
The Clinical Intake Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients, responding to phone and email inquiries in a timely, professional, and welcoming manner.

The Clinical Intake Coordinator will conduct intake screenings and support initial stages of mental health assessments to determine service eligibility and level of care.

The Coordinator will initiate and manage intake documentation, including applications, consent forms, and required client paperwork.

The Coordinator will educate clients on available services, eligibility requirements, and expectations for the intake and counseling process.

The Coordinator will accurately document all client interactions in tracking systems and the electronic health record (EHR), ensuring timely, thorough, and organized recordkeeping.

The Coordinator will coordinate client scheduling and referrals in partnership with clinical staff to support timely and appropriate access to care.

The Coordinator will collaborate with the Clinical Operations & Revenue Team to support insurance verification, authorization processes, and resolve intake-related documentation questions.

The Coordinator will serve as a liaison between clients, clinicians, and internal teams to address barriers and ensure a smooth intake experience.

The Coordinator will market organizational services and build relationships with community partners and referral sources to support access and engagement.

The Coordinator will provide cross-training to at least one additional administrative staff member to ensure continuity of intake coverage.

The Coordinator will monitor and manage multiple intake workflows, ensuring strong organization, follow-through, attention to detail, and identification of process improvements.

The Coordinator will support compliance with regulatory requirements, funding expectations, and organizational standards, and perform other job-related duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling (or related field) with a master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in behavioral health or healthcare intake, screening, or administrative roles and demonstrated exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Previous customer service experience preferred.

IM+CANS certification required or must obtain IM+CANS certification within 30 days of hire date.

Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Preferred qualifications include experience working with Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance plans.
- Spanish language ability is a plus.
