Clinical Intake Coordinator

Job Overview:

As a Clinical Intake Coordinator, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and efficient service. Your role will encompass both administrative tasks and clinical intake coordination responsibilities, facilitating smooth operations within the medical practice.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Intake Coordination:

Collect and update patient demographic information, medical history, and insurance details accurately.

Coordinate patient intake processes, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and filed appropriately.

Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations as required.

Collaborate with healthcare providers and support staff to ensure seamless patient flow and timely delivery of services.

Administrative Support:

Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document management.

Maintain electronic and physical medical records in compliance with privacy regulations.

Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth communication and workflow.

Customer Service:

Address client/patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Provide information about services, policies, and procedures to clients and visitors.

Ensure a positive customer experience by anticipating needs and offering assistance proactively.

Compliance and Confidentiality:

Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.

Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a liaison, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and office equipment.

Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems preferred.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.

Education and Certification:

LPN preferred but open to other clinical background or experience.

Working Conditions:

This position is full time onsite in office.

The role involves frequent interaction with clients, patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
