Job Summary and Qualifications

The Laboratory Clinical Assistant will assist in overseeing all activities in the laboratory, assist with pre-analytical aspects of specimen processing/testing within the testing departments up to actual test performance. Assist in all collections have been performed in a timely manner according to the Laboratory’s Blood Collection procedure. Transport all specimen samples, utilizes computer system for data entry and monitoring of workflow. Centrifuge blood specimens per laboratory department specifications. Maintain phlebotomy supplies in cart, tray and store room in an organized manner. Assist Supervisory staff in inventory management.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• Phlebotomy and/or specimen accessioning experience preferred

This includes women's services offering obstetrics and fertility, an emergency room, and a trauma center. We offer a Stroke Center, a walk-in clinic, and orthopedics across three Kansas City locations. Research Psychiatric Centeris a 95+ bed facility. We offer acute inpatient, day treatment, and community-based outpatient behavioral healthcare.
