- Liaison between Administration, Physicians, clinical staff, and other departments.
- Organization and optimizing daily scheduling of CMAs with physicians.
- Writing clinical Standard Operating Procedures, training employees, and implementing the policies and procedures. Assure the clinical staff is practicing within their scope of practice with the appropriate supervision.
- Back-up to OSHA Officer for the maintenance of employee health records and establishing Environmental Health and Safety policies, according to OHSA regulations.
- Assist in the clinical setting.
- Hire and supervise the training of new medical assistant clinic staff.
- Assist clinical staff in obtaining more education, additional certifications, and finding ways to enhance their skills and improve their chances of career advancement.
- Help improve communication among employees in a clinical environment.
- Increase worker retention rates.
- Evaluate the job performances of clinical personnel.
- Stay up-to-date on a plethora of factors that affect the clinic's performance, including advancements in diagnostic equipment, updates, and upgrades to electronic health record technology and staff support.
- Ensure that all clinical staff is accurately notating patients’ electronic health records.
- Follow up on Issue/Incident Reports and take the appropriate corrective action.
- Order supplies and meets with sales representatives to ensure the best pricing to keep costs low.
- Attend interdepartmental meetings; take action as needed to correct problems and concerns.
- Identify quality assurance and risk management issues and brings them to the attention of the appropriate managers.
- Monitor the use of resources to determine when there is a need for additional staff.
- Intervene to provide patient satisfaction when problems/controversies arise within the clinical setting.
- Look for ways to streamline and enhance administrative operations.
