Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) Instructor

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction in our CMA program. The ideal candidate will bring real-world clinical experience, strong teaching ability, and a commitment to student success.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on lab instruction
• Teach core CMA topics including:
• Patient care & vital signs
• Phlebotomy & specimen collection
• EKG procedures
• Infection control & safety
• Medical terminology & clinical procedures
• Prepare students for certification exams (National Healthcareer Association preferred)
• Track attendance, grades, and student progress
• Maintain a safe, compliant lab environment
• Assist with curriculum improvement and program development
• Support students with job readiness and career placement guidance

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, or RMA)
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience
• Prior teaching or training experience (preferred but not required)
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Familiarity with certification standards (NHA strongly preferred)
• Ability to lead both lecture and hands-on lab training

Schedule & Compensation

• Schedule: Flexible (Day, Evening, or Weekend classes available)
• Program Length: 8–16 weeks (depending on schedule)
• Pay: Competitive (Hourly or per-course rate based on experience)

Pay: $30.00 per hour
