Clinical Medical Assistant Instructor - Weekday AM

Overview

1 on 1 Technical & Theological College is seeking a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction to students preparing for certification and careers in healthcare. Instructor must be able to provide instruction online to students as needed and as well as in the lab during clinicals . Material expected to be covered will include phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, lab equipment, pharmacology, EMR, etc.

3-5 years experience in medical assisting preferred, though five years experience is required.

National certification (CCMA, AAMA, etc.) preferred.

The hours are 9:00 am to 1:00 p.m. EST two days a week for clinicals.

Duties

• Deliver online and classroom as well as lab instruction in Clinical Medical Assisting
• Prepare students for CCMA certification
• Demonstrate clinical procedures and best practices
• Provide guidance, feedback, and support to students
• Maintain a positive and professional learning environment
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant training program is preferred.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is desirable.
• Proficient in basic medical terminology and clinical procedures.
