Job Summary
Join our dynamic podiatry team as a Clinical Medical Scribe, where your expertise will directly support our physician in delivering exceptional patient care. In this vital role, you will assist with real-time documentation of medical encounters, ensuring accurate and comprehensive medical records. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help streamline clinical workflows, enhance patient experiences, and uphold the highest standards of medical documentation. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a medical environment and is ideal for pre-med college students looking for a summer job. This is a PRN position that may last about 2-3 months, but there is a possibility of becoming a permanent full-time position. You will be commuting to our 2 office locations in Bedford and Flower Mound, but it can also be a virtual position once you are familiar with the process and flow of work. Hours may vary based on physician's schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient encounters, capturing symptoms, diagnoses, treatments, and physician observations.
  • Assist healthcare providers by documenting patient histories, physical examinations, procedures, and follow-up instructions in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Manage and update medical records promptly to ensure all documentation is complete, precise, and compliant with privacy regulations.
  • Utilize medical terminology and physiology knowledge to interpret provider instructions and translate complex medical information into clear documentation.
  • Support physicians by reducing administrative burdens through efficient transcription and data entry using various EHR and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information while adhering to all legal and institutional policies.

Experience

  • Prior scribe experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong transcription skills with the ability to accurately convert spoken words into written records in real-time.
  • Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for efficient documentation management.
  • Knowledge of foot anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to ensure precise recordkeeping.
  • Proficiency in documenting with high accuracy and speed to support rapid documentation needs.
  • Previous exposure to medical records management or medical documentation roles is advantageous.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
