Clinical Medical Scribe

Alexandria Clinic is seeking a dynamic and proficient Bilingual Medical Scribe to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, possess an associate's degree or higher, and have strong typing skills. Job Description: As a Medical Scribe, you will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare professionals in accurately documenting patient encounters and providing administrative assistance. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure efficient workflow and enhance patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers with data entry, electronic medical record (EMR) management, and other administrative tasks.
• Translate medical information and instructions for patients and their families as needed.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.
• Manage and organize medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with patient intake procedures, including obtaining medical history and verifying insurance information.
• Handle phone calls, inquiries, and appointment scheduling in a professional and courteous manner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in a relevant field such as healthcare administration, medical assisting, or a related discipline.
• Bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred.
• Strong typing skills with a minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute (wpm) or faster.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
• Previous experience in a medical scribe or assistant role is advantageous but not required.
• Commitment to maintaining professionalism and upholding ethical standards in healthcare.
• 1 Year minimum job commitment.
• Live within 30 minutes max from clinic
