Metanoia serves clients ages 5 – 65 years of age. We are currently offering contractual position with full and part time hours available. Clinicians have the ability to make their own schedules. Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help clients navigate emotional challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their mental wellness goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through direct support, clinical counseling, and innovative therapeutic approaches within outpatient and inpatient settings. As a vital member of our team, you will utilize your skills in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management to promote positive mental health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy.
- Implement crisis management strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health crises or behavioral challenges.
- Provide specialized counseling for issues including PTSD care, depression, grief counseling, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts and ensure comprehensive patient care while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate medical documentation.
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services across diverse geographic locations.
- Maintain detailed records of patient assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records in accordance with healthcare regulations and ICD coding standards.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent state credential.
- Proven experience in clinical counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings; hospital experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology principles, and crisis intervention techniques.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities—including autism—and geriatrics is preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to manage crisis situations effectively while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
