The Clinical Nurse Educator and Liaison provides leadership and coordination for nursing education, clinical competency development, and care coordination across Hemophilia of Georgia’s (HoG) clinical services. This role ensures alignment with evidence-based bleeding disorder standards of care, national best practices, and organizational priorities, while strengthening collaboration between Clinical Services, Pharmacy, Revenue Cycle, and Engagement teams.
The Clinical Nurse Educator and Liaison leads curriculum development, clinical education initiatives, emergency readiness (CPR/AED and respiratory protection), and compliance-related functions, including licensure and continuing education tracking.
This role will lead structured onboarding and ongoing competency programs. In collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the Clinical Nurse Educator reviews, develops, and approves educational content to ensure alignment with current bleeding disorder standards of care, evidence-based guidelines, and comparable national best practices. The position works with the clinical team leadership to ensure collaboration, clinical coordination, and outreach efforts are integrated, accurate, and aligned with organizational priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field preferred
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Georgia required
- Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience; experience in bleeding disorders or specialty care preferred
- Demonstrated experience in direct patient care, clinical education, competency development, or staff training
- Strong understanding of evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams and departments
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in clinical documentation systems and healthcare information technology
- Experience supporting compliance functions (licensure tracking, CE monitoring, safety programs) preferred

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership in Clinical Education & Competency — Provide leadership for nursing education initiatives, curriculum development, and competency programs for HoG staff, patients, families, and community audiences. Ensure education content aligns with bleeding disorder standards of care and national best practices.
- Clinical Coordination & Care Integration — Serve as a liaison between Clinical Services and Pharmacy, Revenue Cycle, and Engagement teams to support coordinated care planning, identify education and outreach priorities, and ensure consistent, clinically sound messaging across programs.
- Quality Improvement & Evidence-Based Practice — Partner with clinical leadership to review and approve educational materials, ensuring alignment with current guidelines and evidence-based practice. Identify opportunities to improve education delivery and care coordination processes.
- Strategic Alignment with Clinical Leadership — Collaborate with the CMO and clinical leadership team (VP of Clinical Services, Directors of Nursing, Social Work, Telehealth, and Clinical Coordination) to align education, coordination, and outreach initiatives with organizational strategy and clinical priorities.
- Emergency Readiness & Certification Oversight — Oversee CPR/AED readiness, respiratory protection program maintenance, and emergency preparedness training to ensure staff compliance and organizational safety standards.
- Licensing, Continuing Education & Compliance — Coordinate nursing licensure tracking, continuing education monitoring, and compliance documentation in partnership with Human Resources and Compliance to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration — Work collaboratively with Clinical Services, Engagement, Pharmacy, Revenue Cycle, and external HTCs to support integrated education and coordinated care models.
- Data Integrity & Program Monitoring — Support documentation, audits, and data integrity related to education programs, compliance tracking, and care coordination activities.
- Clinical Operations Support (Secondary Function)— supports the Clinical Coordinator and serves as backup for nursing coverage, clinical coordination, telehealth coverage, camp coverage, HTC coverage, or any other gap identified by the Clinical Leadership team.
