Clinical Outpatient Program Coordinator

Our Atlanta Outpatient Center is scheduled to open early May 2026.

We are currently seeking a Monday- Thursday 12:30pm-9:30pm Friday 8am-5pm Program Coordinator.

Program Coordinator serves as the primary leader of the Outpatient Program and is responsible for the day-to-day clinical and operational oversight of the facility. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, ethical, and compliant behavioral health services in alignment with State and Federal regulations, Joint Commission standards, ASAM criteria, insurance provider requirements, and company policies and procedures.

In addition to leadership responsibilities, the Program Coordinator maintains an active clinical presence, including facilitating IOP groups and/or managing a patient caseload, and ensuring appropriate clinical coverage for staff call-outs or approved time off. The Program Coordinator provides and ensures the clinical team provides individual, group, and family therapy; conducts biopsychosocial assessments; develops and maintain Master Treatment Plans; and supports discharge and aftercare planning.

The Program Coordinator partners closely with the local inpatient facility Clinical Director/Site CEO, Admissions, Business Development, and ancillary departments to ensure program integrity, census growth, staff performance, patient engagement, and exceptional patient experience, while fostering a positive, safe, and therapeutic environment for both patients and staff.

CORE JOB DUTIES:

Program Leadership & Operations

  • Oversees day-to-day operations of the outpatient program to ensure consistent, high-quality clinical service delivery, ensuring staffing ratios and resource utilization align with program needs and budgeted expectations.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable licensing, accreditation, regulatory, payer, and company standards.
  • Monitors facility environment to ensure it remains safe, secure, therapeutic, and well maintained.
  • Leads Treatment Team Meetings and facilitates weekly Clinical Staff Meetings.
  • Provides timely facility reporting and performance data to appropriate leadership.
  • Reviews productivity, census, service utilization, and performance metrics to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and areas for cost efficiency.
  • Identifies areas for program improvement through data analysis and develops, implements, and documents plans for improvement and outcomes.
  • Works collaboratively with Admissions and Business Development to support census growth, patient engagement, and referral relationships.

Clinical Oversight & Quality Assurance

  • Audits clinical documentation to ensure compliance with company policy, state regulations, Joint

Commission standards, ASAM criteria, and Medical Necessity requirements, including:

o Biopsychosocial Assessments

o Comprehensive Problem Lists

o Integrated Master Treatment Plans and Updates

o Individual, Family, and Group Therapy Notes

o ASAM Assessments

o Discharge Summaries

  • Monitors group therapy sessions to ensure fidelity to program curriculum and quality of therapeutic

programming.

  • Reviews Service Time Reports daily and proactively addresses patient attendance, staffing, or compliance issues, including arranging clinical coverage for staff call-outs or approved time off, in collaboration with leadership.
  • Ensures clinical staff meet or exceed 92% compliance on facility performance metrics.
  • Provides coaching and feedback to staff at least twice per month to address performance gaps, reinforce strengths, and support performance expectations.
  • Ensures timely staff orientation, education, training, and supervision.
  • Monitors continued competency of preliminarily licensed clinicians and ensures supervision requirements are met per state guidelines.
  • Provides licensure supervision as needed.

Staff Leadership & Development

  • Recruits, interviews, and hires clinical staff in collaboration with leadership.
  • Provides verbal and written feedback to staff to support accountability, growth, and optimal performance.
  • Completes payroll and invoice approvals for employees, contractors, and vendors.
  • Fosters a positive, supportive, and collaborative team culture.
  • Maintains professional, respectful, and productive relationships with all staff.
  • Creates and sustains a positive work environment that supports morale, engagement, and retention.

Direct Clinical Care

  • Maintains an assigned patient caseload in accordance with state and program requirements.
  • Provides individual, group, and family therapy services.
  • Conducts biopsychosocial assessments.
  • Collaborates with the Treatment Team to develop, update, and implement Integrated Master Treatment Plans.
  • Assesses patients for substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and risk to self or others.
  • Utilizes evidence-based and trauma-informed therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques.
  • Participates in crisis intervention as clinically indicated.
  • Coordinates discharge planning, aftercare recommendations, and linkage to community resources.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members, including Case Managers and Business Development, to support effective aftercare planning and continuity of care.


Requirements


Education:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a master’s degree in 2 Psychology, Social Work, or health-related field.

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of management setting familiarity, with continuous Quality Improvement, JC standards, ASAM criteria and Insurance Company MNC.

License/Certification:

Independently licensed to practice clinical discipline in the appropriate state, as applicable, required.

CPR Certification required.
