Clinical & Patient Care Coordinator

We are a patient-centered OB/GYN practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality women’s healthcare in a warm and supportive environment. We are seeking a highly reliable, personable, and empathetic Clinical & Patient Care Coordinator to join our small, single-physician practice.

Position Summary

The Clinical & Patient Care Coordinator plays a dual clinical and administrative role essential to the smooth operation of our OB/GYN office. This position involves welcoming patients, managing front-desk responsibilities, supporting clinical activities, and assisting the physician with patient care. The ideal candidate balances excellent customer service with clinical competence and discretion.

Key Responsibilities – Front Office / Administrative

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner
  • Answer multi-line phones and respond to patient inquiries
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
  • Check patients in and out; verify demographic and insurance information
  • Collect co-payments and process basic billing transactions
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
  • Assist with referrals and prior authorizations as needed
  • Maintain an organized, calm, and welcoming reception area

Key Responsibilities – Clinical

  • Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, height/weight)
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  • Obtain and document patient medical histories
  • Assist physician during exams and routine OB/GYN procedures
  • Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
  • Perform pregnancy testing and urine analysis
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and properly prepared

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using electronic medical records and office technology

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA, or equivalent)
  • Experience in an OB/GYN or women’s health setting
  • Phlebotomy certification or blood-draw experience (preferred but not required)
  • Basic understanding of insurance verification and referrals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
