Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Clinical Patient Coordinator Assistant to join a healthcare team. Duties/Responsibilities
- Keep patients’ procedures and status related to randomization up to date.
- Updates research database & submits documents for studies.
- Organizes and maintains filing systems to store and retrieve patient information and charts effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain an updated LCTC overall calendar and assist with scheduling as needed.
- Assist the research director and research coordinator with patient’s, schedule, appointments and status related to specific studies.
- Identifies patient needs and coordinates necessary resources to provide care.
- Supports the research director to implement an effective and reliable patient scheduling system.
- Participates in the development of process changes and improvements.
- Develops a systematic process to identify potentially suited patients.
- Schedules patients visits over the phone and update the appointments in the electronic visit records.
- Conducts patient visits follow ups and supports patients’ retention.
- Maintain active and effective communication with the Research Staff to guarantee proper patients follow according to the protocols.
- Give support to Research Coordinators and Research Manager in all aspects related to the patients’ management including patients’ appointments.
- Check e-mails and route items to the appropriate research staff.
- Maintains information in research study database.
- Prepare study documents & obtain Physician signature.
- Assist Research Coordinators daily activities and function related to patients’ management.
- Performs general administrative duties, including answering phones, managing email correspondence.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Patient coordinators interact with patients, families, healthcare providers, and administrative staff regularly.
- Attention to detail, empathy, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality are also critical qualities for success in this role.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English language.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in life science or related field required.
- 1 to 3 years of related experience required.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Rate: $15.00- $16.00
- 100% Health Insurance Coverage
- Summer Bonus (Based on Productivity)
- Monday thru Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm
