Clinical Program Coordinator

Job Overview
The role of the Clinical Program Coordinator is to supervise clinical

programming and services in the organization. This position is

responsible for direct care to patients and driving forward clinical

excellence. Assure compliance with accreditation requirements and

with Nashville Detox policies and procedures regarding clinical

programming and services.

Responsibilities

● Lead program planning and delivery of clinical treatment services.

● Assist the Clinical Director with implementing clinical policies and

treatment.

● Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in

compliance with HIPAA regulations.

● Conduct intake, ASAM, and bio-psycho-social assessments to

evaluate clients’ needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.

● Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing various

therapeutic techniques.

● Educate clients on addiction, relapse prevention, and coping strategies.

● Complete Utilization Review tasks and ensure all UR requirements are

completed thoroughly and on time for the appropriate level of care.

● Provide direct supervision to the Case Manager.

● Assist in coordination referrals to outpatient services, housing, and

community resources.

● Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive

patient care and effective case management.

● Engage in crisis management and behavior management strategies

to support clients during challenging situations.

● Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in all client

interactions.

● Assist in assuring State and Federal regulations, and Joint

Commission standards are met and maintained.

● Participate in clinical research initiatives aimed at improving

therapeutic practices and outcomes.

● Lead staffing meeting and direct client care in coordination with

the Nursing Supervisor, Case Manager, and Operations Manager.

● Participate in clinical training of all support staff.

Candidate requirements:

● Fully Licensed Qualified Professional, such as Licensed Clinical

Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor.

● Supervisory and management skills.

● Able to organize self and others to meet deadlines, under extreme

pressure.

● Statistical knowledge to complete quality assurance and

performance

improvement.

Able to conduct individual, group and family sessions.

● Able to communicate effectively with individuals with mental

health, substance use and dually diagnosed residents.

● Excellent written and oral communication skills including

documentation.

● Able to relate to residents, staff, agency representatives and the public.

● Proficiency in organization applications of software including EMR

Employee Demonstrates:

● Understanding of developing Clinical staff by; hiring,

supervising, evaluating, scheduling, promoting, and executing

disciplinary action.

● Understands program evaluation and quality assurance

functions for the department including legal and professional

requirements as well as monitoring client treatment plans.

● Ensuring contract compliance for department and

volunteers/interns within the department.

● Understands initiating, implementing, and monitoring

compliance with evidence-based practices.

● The ability to work with other department heads/ members of

management to assure successful inter-departmental

communication and participate in strategic planning

● The ability to lead daily staff briefing meetings.

● The ability to coordinate and facilitate groups, as needed.

● Understanding the process of providing support to families, as

needed, and approved by the client.

● Understanding and executing review of all facets within a

client’s treatment progression, including Admission/

Orientation, Initial Biopsychosocial Assessment (plus

subsequent addendums), Initial Treatment Plan, Progress

Notes, Telecommunication, Discharge Treatment Plan &

Summary

● The process for reviewing the Concurrent Review CCR - with

therapists, following Utilization Review reports any concerns.

● Knowledge and ability to envision and execute activities

and/or practices to promote participation in Performance

Improvement within the department.

● Knowledge and ability to execute Gold Standard Evidence-

Based Approaches.

● Demonstrates knowledge of Corporate Integrity and

Compliance Programs.

● Demonstrates a working knowledge of developing programs

for Target Populations and Inception, as well as Focus Groups

to gain insight and perspective-based goals.

● Understands and demonstrates meeting with clients at time of discharge or if the client is on a Precaution Watch Status and assisting in overflow during admissions.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
