Clinical Research Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Research Assistant who will assist the Clinical Research Coordinators (CRC’s) with activities associated with conducting clinical research studies.

WHO YOU ARE:

1 year of clinical experience working in an office setting with adult patients; Cardiology and Clinical Research experience preferred; Perform phlebotomy & vital signs; Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Internet Navigation; reliable transportation; excellent ability to communicate and work well with a team as well as ability to work independently on projects, prioritize workflow, follow detailed instructions and multi-task.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Study Management

  • Enter data from visit worksheets efficiently & accurately into electronic data collection systems
  • Prepare visit packets and assemble binders
  • Assist CRCs with research visits
  • Assist with data entry and maintenance of the Clinical Trial Maintenance System
  • Take Vital Signs as needed

Investigational Medications

  • Stock Investigational Product per sponsor specifications
  • Prepare Labels & documentation as needed
  • Organize drug cabinets
  • Maintain daily Temperature Logs

Laboratory

  • Perform Phlebotomy
  • Order & Stock Laboratory Supplies as needed
  • Prepare Lab Kits for phlebotomy
  • Process and ship lab specimens per guidelines
  • Maintain calibration logs and perform quality control tests on equipment as needed

Administrative

  • Order and Stock Office Supplies as needed
  • Fax, file, archive as needed
  • Contact sponsors, patients and physicians professionally and politely as needed
  • Cleaning & general office organization as needed.
  • Transport Research Drug & Supplies between offices
  • Organize and oversee meetings

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Assist with compliance monitoring
  • Prep & file documents per regulatory guidelines
