Job Description:
Seeking a Clinical Research Assistant (CRA) to support clinical trials at The Jackson Clinic by recruiting participants, managing study data, collecting samples, and ensuring compliance with protocols and regulatory standards. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support enrolling patients into clinical trials through recruitment, screening, enrollment, and follow-up of eligible subjects according to protocol requirements.
- Conduct patient visits according to protocol. Responsible for the collection of patient medical history, vital signs, and other clinic data or procedures as directed by protocol (i.e. EKG, phlebotomy, specimen collection, measurements, etc.)
- Ensures follow-up appointments, scans, and any related procedures are scheduled correctly according to protocol requirements.
- Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and Good Clinical Practices.
- Enter patient visits into Clinical Trial Management System.
- Ensure the protection of study patients by verifying informed consent procedures and adhering to protocol requirements/compliance.
- Maintains confidentiality according to ethical and legal requirements.
- Timely and accurate completion of all data entry and query resolution.
- Responsible for processing and shipping labs. Must maintain IATA certification.
- Ensures timely adherence to protocol requirements.
- Participate in ongoing and study-specific training.
- Participate in monitoring visits and site initiation visits as needed.
- Engage in study-specific communication with monitors, sponsor contacts and study vendors as appropriate.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of medical, lab, or clinical experience required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and intermediate computer skills with ability to learn multiple data capture systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and prioritizing capabilities.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- An ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Phlebotomy experience a plus.
