Clinical Research Associate

Upsilon Global are seeking a freelance SCRA and CRA to assist with a planned ophthalmology medical device study with a single site in Muscat.

This is an investigator initiated study and the project will involve support with local submissions, site set-up, patient enrolment and monitoring over a 2-year period, estimated at 0.2-0.3 FTE (8-12 hours p/week).

As the device is already CE-marked, we don't foresee many issues with the submission process, and once enrolled, we are assuming one IMV per month.

Position: Freelance SCRA and CRA

FTE: 0.2-0.3 fte (slightly higher in set-up period)

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Muscat area, Oman

Key Responsibilities :

• Local submissions and site set-up
• Conduct monitoring visits (remote visits if/when required)
• Site management activities
• Ensure timely reporting, communication with Data Manager (DM) and Project Manager (PM), and transparent issue escalation.
• Maintain Investigator Site File (ISF) and Site Master File (SMF) completeness.
• Organize site in CTMS (e.g., updating milestones).

Experience:

• Fluent in English and Arabic
• Willing to travel to site for monitoring visits.
• Experience with ophthalmology and/or device studies beneficial
• Knowledge of Omani regulations
• Proactive mindset, adaptable to less structured environments and new systems
• Comfortable with complex, multi-study programs.
• Autonomous in issue resolution with transparent escalation.
• Problem solving and proactive attitude
• Team-oriented, solution-focused, and committed to collaboration
