Clinical Research Laboratory Technician

Pantheon Clinical Research is seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Research Laboratory Technician to support clinical trials by processing biological specimens, preparing laboratory shipments, maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory, and ensuring compliance with sponsor protocols.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining specimen integrity and ensuring that laboratory procedures are performed accurately and consistently across all clinical trials conducted at our site.

The Laboratory Technician will work closely with Clinical Research Coordinators, Investigators, and Sponsors to ensure proper specimen handling, documentation, and shipment in accordance with study protocols and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

This is primarily a laboratory-focused role, though additional duties may be assigned to support overall research operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesSpecimen Processing & Handling

  • Process blood, urine, and other biological specimens according to study protocols and laboratory manuals
  • Centrifuge, aliquot, label, and prepare specimens for shipment
  • Package and ship laboratory samples to central laboratories in accordance with sponsor requirements
  • Maintain accurate specimen tracking and chain-of-custody documentation
  • Ensure proper labeling and handling of all clinical trial specimens

Laboratory Operations

  • Maintain laboratory equipment including centrifuges, refrigerators, and freezers
  • Monitor and document daily temperature logs for laboratory storage units
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization
  • Manage laboratory inventory and coordinate ordering of supplies
  • Prepare and organize laboratory kits for upcoming subject visits
  • Perform lab kit reconciliation to ensure all kits are accounted for and properly stored

Clinical Trial Support

  • Review laboratory manuals and protocol-specific specimen requirements
  • Prepare visit-specific lab materials for scheduled study visits
  • Assist research staff in ensuring laboratory procedures are performed according to protocol
  • Provide laboratory support during high-volume clinic days as needed

Monitoring & Compliance

  • Prepare laboratory documentation and binders for sponsor monitor visits
  • Maintain laboratory logs, calibration records, and regulatory documentation
  • Assist with monitoring visits and audits related to laboratory activities
  • Support investigational product (IP) accountability activities as needed

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
