We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized LVN, RN, or Phlebotomy Technician to join our team as a Clinical Research / Patient Care Coordinator. This hybrid role combines operational support across multiple clinic sites, clinical research responsibilities as needed, and patient care coordination duties during other times to support overall clinic flow.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Site Support- Clinical Research
- Oversee day-to-day site clinical research operations to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to study timelines
- Supervise and support front-line staff, including scheduling, task assignments, and performance oversight
- Liaise between investigators, sponsors, and regulatory bodies
- Implement and improve operational processes to maximize efficiency
- Coordinate assigned clinical research studies in compliance with protocols, GCP, and IRB requirements
- Recruit, screen, consent, and schedule study participants
- Perform clinical procedures within scope (vital signs, specimen collection, ECGs, medication administration, etc.)
- Maintain accurate source documentation and complete timely data entry into electronic case report forms
- Monitor participants for adverse events and report per protocol
- Support study-related administrative and clinical tasks during designated downtime periods
Patient Care Coordinator Duties - Front Desk Team (During Downtime)
During downtime, staff will primarily perform patient care coordination tasks via phone, which may include:
- Insurance verification
- Appointment scheduling
- Prior authorizations
- Patient follow-up calls
- General administrative coordination to support continuity of care and clinic efficiency
Qualifications
- Active California LVN or RN license, or Phlebotomy Technician license required
- 1+ year experience in clinical research preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards (or willingness to complete training)
- Prior leadership or operations experience strongly preferred
- Ability to travel between Orange County clinic sites as needed
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
