Responsibilities

• Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient examinations in real-time, capturing vital signs, symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment plans with precision.
• Assist physicians by documenting medical histories, physical exam findings, procedures, and follow-up instructions using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical documentation that complies with legal standards and healthcare regulations.
• Review and verify medical records for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all relevant information is properly recorded.
• Support the medical team by organizing and managing patient files, records, and documentation workflows efficiently.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency room procedures to accurately interpret clinical conversations.
• Adapt quickly to various EMR/EHR platforms while maintaining high typing speed and accuracy to keep up with fast-paced clinical environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience in transcription or medical documentation within a healthcare setting.
• Prior medical office experience or familiarity with clinical workflows is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR and EHR systems used in healthcare environments.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency room procedures.
• Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed to ensure real-time documentation.
• Knowledge of medical records management practices to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Previous experience in emergency room settings or acute care environments is a plus.
