JOB SUMMARY:

The Clinical Solutions Advisor serves as Midmark’s senior, field-facing clinical authority for escalated customer needs and a clinical expert partner to cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Clinical Solutions Advisor blends real-world clinical expertise with strong customer engagement, collaboration, and communication skills to strengthen product performance, elevate clinical credibility, improve customer satisfaction, and assist continuous improvement efforts. The role balances direct customer interactions with internal project contributions and periodic thought-leadership content, while traveling extensively as business needs arise.

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Lead Tier-2 clinical support operations, ensuring timely resolution of escalated customer issues, and maintaining excellence in clinical performance and satisfaction.

  • Engage strategically with customers, sales teams, and clinical education (virtual and onsite) to assess, troubleshoot, and resolve clinical challenges in real time.

  • Analyze and communicate findings from field engagements, recommending corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to Clinical Affairs, Q&R, and Product Development leadership.

  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to provide clinical expertise during pre-sales activities, clarifying clinical workflows, use cases, and solution value.

  • Serve as the primary clinical advisor throughout solution development, influencing design, and commercialization strategies to align with user needs and clinical realities.

  • Define and advocate for clinical requirements including workflow integration, ergonomics, usability, and key quality standards that enhance product effectiveness.

  • Provide clinical oversight and input to verification, validation, usability studies, and evidence or claims development, ensuring alignment with regulatory and quality objectives.

  • Engage and manage relationships with external clinical experts to gather insights that inform innovation, design decisions, and market readiness.

  • Advance Midmark’s clinical thought leadership through authored content, presentations, and active representation at industry events and customer forums.

  • Mentor and empower internal teams, elevating clinical knowledge, cross-functional collaboration, and field readiness to strengthen Midmark’s clinical excellence.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Registered Nurse (RN) with a BSN (MSN or Advanced Practice Degree preferred; MBA a plus) and possess 5+ years of clinical experience, ideally in emergency, acute, perioperative, or primary care settings, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. They are knowledgeable in medical devices, clinical workflows, ergonomics, and human factors, with excellent presentation and technical writing abilities.

COMPETENCY and/or SKILL:

  • Deep understanding of clinical practice, patient care processes, and healthcare environments.

  • Proven ability to build trust, manage relationships, and address complex clinical and operational concerns.

  • Demonstrates strong customer-facing and problem-solving skills, with proven ability in conflict management, complaint resolution, and effective communication across diverse audiences.

  • Familiar with medical technologies, clinical workflows, ergonomics, and human factors.

  • Clear, confident communicator with strong presentation, facilitation, and technical writing skills.

  • Translates clinical insights into product strategy, design requirements, and measurable business value.

  • Excels in cross-functional collaboration to align clinical, commercial, and technical objectives.

  • Experience authoring clinical content (e.g., blogs, white papers) and representing the organization in professional forums.

  • Thrives in dynamic environments, adjusting priorities and supporting short-notice travel, and field demands.

  • Dedicated to developing internal clinical knowledge and enhancing team capability and performance.
