Clinical Strategy Consultant (MD/DO Oncology) | Voice of the Customer (VOC) Advisor

Job Title

Clinical Strategy Consultant (Oncology) | Voice of the Customer (VOC) Advisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a board-certified Medical Oncologist with significant experience in high-volume community or health system cancer institutes to serve as a Clinical Strategy Consultant.

As we develop a next-generation oncology software platform, we need a "Voice of the Customer" expert to bridge the gap between clinical necessity and software design. You will play a pivotal role in identifying systemic pain points, defining high-value features, and ensuring our application solves the real-world challenges faced by oncologists in fast-paced clinical environments.

Project

PANDA is being developed as a sophisticated, AI-driven oncology software platform designed to solve the critical data fragmentation issues in cancer care. PANDA is being developed by a consortium of a stealth startup and partners including multiple health systems, oncologists, imaging, and engineers.

The Core Problem: In high-volume oncology centers, clinicians must synthesize massive amounts of disparate data (pathology, radiology, longitudinal outcomes, and liquid biopsies) to make treatment decisions. This manual synthesis is time-consuming, prone to oversight, and often disconnected from the latest clinical trial data.

PANDA serves as a centralized "intelligence layer" that integrates multimodal data to streamline the clinical lifecycle. A specialized interface aggregates and synthesizes divergent document and data types. Includes dedicated clinician and patient portals designed to provide transparency.

Current Status & Opportunity

The project is currently in the development and refinement phase, transitioning from technical architecture to clinical validation. There is a high-value opportunity for Consultant Oncologists to provide "Voice of the Customer" (VOC) feedback to ensure the user interface and workflow integration meet the rigorous demands of a high-volume health system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Roadmap Guidance: Provide expert feedback on software features, ensuring they align with the workflow of a high-volume oncology practice.
  • Pain Point Discovery: Systematically identify bottlenecks in current EMR and oncology management systems (e.g., staging, treatment planning, data silos).
  • Product Validation: Participate in monthly/quarterly reviews of prototypes and wireframes to evaluate clinical utility and user experience.
  • Strategic Advisory: Advise on the integration of clinical decision support and AI-driven insights to ensure trust and adoption among peer physicians.
  • Gap Analysis: Help the development team understand the "unmet needs" in the oncology software market to differentiate our product.

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO with current or recent Board Certification in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology.
  • Clinical Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of practice within a high-volume community cancer center or a large health system cancer institute.
  • Informatics Interest: Strong familiarity with major oncology EMRs (e.g., Epic Beacon, Flatiron OncoEMR, Cerner) and a desire to improve clinical technology.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Ability to communicate effectively with non-clinical stakeholders, including software engineers and product managers.

Position Details

  • Job Type: Contract / Part-time / Consulting.
  • Schedule: Flexible/Remote.
  • Compensation: High competitive hourly consulting rate (commensurate with experience).

Pay: $150.00 - $350.00 per hour

Work Location: Remote
