Responsibilities
- Supervise and support licensed clinicians in providing individual, group, and family therapy using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Oversee clinical documentation to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, medical records standards, and accurate medical terminology usage.
- Conduct intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations for diverse populations, including children, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and those experiencing PTSD or crisis situations.
- Lead crisis intervention efforts and manage urgent cases with effective crisis management techniques to ensure client safety.
- Facilitate clinical supervision sessions focused on case management, treatment planning, and professional development for staff.
- Ensure adherence to billing practices such as CPT coding and ICD coding for diagnoses like ICD-10/ICD-9.
- Promote best practices in social work, mental health counseling, and patient care while fostering a collaborative team environment committed to continuous improvement.
Skills
- Proven experience in motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and crisis management within behavioral health settings.
- Strong background working with children, pediatrics, special education populations, and individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Expertise in home & community care environments along with hospital experience related to behavioral health or mental health counseling.
- Skilled in conducting intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and patient assessment procedures using medical terminology and understanding of ICD coding systems.
- Proficiency in providing individual and group psychotherapy utilizing evidence-based approaches such as CBT, behavioral therapy, CPT coding practices, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Ability to manage complex cases involving addiction counseling or trauma-focused care like PTSD.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations for maintaining confidentiality and managing medical documentation effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging clients across diverse backgrounds.
