Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinician to join our mental health and behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care through individual, group, and family counseling, utilizing evidence-based practices to support diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment with a focus on improving mental health outcomes across various settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, and telehealth platforms. The Clinician will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapy tailored to each patient's needs while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
  • Provide psychotherapy services including mental health counseling, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, crisis intervention, and behavior management.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions focused on social work principles, crisis management, gender issues counseling, and working with people with disabilities or developmental disorders such as autism.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote patient care while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Maintain detailed medical records and documentation of patient interactions using appropriate medical terminology and ICD coding.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management and research initiatives aimed at improving clinical outcomes.
  • Engage in patient intake processes and conduct ongoing patient assessments to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Participate in clinical research projects related to behavioral health or mental health disorders as needed.
  • Support patients through crisis situations by applying crisis management techniques and providing direct support during emergencies.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field; licensure as required by state regulations.
  • Proven experience with psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, or applied behavior analysis.
  • Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation.
  • Experience working with children & family counseling, pediatrics, geriatrics, or special education is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health issues such as PTSD care, chronic pain counseling, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
  • Strong understanding of crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols.
  • Experience delivering services via telehealth platforms preferred; familiarity with HIPAA compliance essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in outpatient or inpatient settings.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
