We are seeking an experienced and strategic Cloud Architect/Engineer to join our cloud and infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and operate secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures that support our applications, data platforms, and developer workflows. This role requires deep cloud platform expertise, strong systems engineering skills, and the ability to collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams to deliver reliable, automated cloud solutions.
Design, build, and operate cloud-native architectures across public cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) that meet requirements for scalability, availability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
Author and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent to enable repeatable, auditable deployments.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation, and GitOps practices to accelerate safe delivery of infrastructure and application changes.
Design and implement containerization and orchestration solutions (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS) including cluster provisioning, networking, autoscaling, and lifecycle management.
Implement robust security controls in the cloud—identity and access management, network segmentation, encryption, secrets management, and compliance-aligned configurations—working closely with the security and privacy teams.
Build observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud infrastructure and platform services to ensure operational visibility and rapid incident response.
Optimize cloud costs through architectural decisions, rightsizing, reservation strategies, and continuous cost monitoring and reporting.
Design networking and hybrid cloud connectivity solutions including VPCs/VNet, transit gateways, VPNs, and private link patterns for secure, low-latency communication between services.
Collaborate with application and data teams to define platform APIs, self-service tooling, and runbooks that enable developer productivity and standardize best practices.
Evaluate new cloud services, third-party tools, and architectural patterns; prototype and recommend solutions that align with business goals and technical constraints.
Mentor and coach engineers on cloud architecture, IaC, security, and operational excellence; contribute to documentation, architecture reviews, and team playbooks.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience designing and operating production cloud environments or distributed systems.
Proven expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and familiarity with managed platform services (compute, storage, networking, databases, serverless).
Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management or automation frameworks.
Hands-on knowledge of container platforms and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), CI/CD tooling, and deployment automation.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, security best practices, identity and access management, and encryption for cloud services.
Experience implementing observability solutions (metrics, tracing, logging) and incident response processes for distributed systems.
Proficiency with scripting and programming (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) and strong troubleshooting and systems-thinking skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate business requirements into pragmatic cloud solutions.
Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures and migration strategies.
Familiarity with service mesh, edge computing, or advanced networking patterns is a plus.
Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect are a plus.
Experience with security frameworks, compliance programs (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA), or working with PII-sensitive data is beneficial.
Prior experience in SaaS, platform engineering, or operating high-scale production services is desirable.
Full-time position with an onsite work model.
Competitive salary commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan options, and paid time off.
Opportunities for professional development, training, and support for certifications; clear paths for career growth within a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, work-life balance, and employee well-being.
