Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Cloud Database Administrator (DBA) with 7+ years of experience in managing, optimizing, and securing databases across major cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud-native database solutions, migrations, automation, and performance tuning, along with a proactive and collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Database Management: Deploy, manage, maintain, and optimize relational, non-relational, and hybrid databases on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.

Cloud Migration: Support end-to-end database migration initiatives, including assessment, planning, and execution of on-premises databases to cloud environments.

Security & Compliance: Implement database security best practices including encryption, access controls, auditing, and compliance with industry standards.

Performance & Availability: Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of database systems.

Automation: Develop scripts and automation frameworks to streamline routine DBA tasks and improve operational efficiency.

Collaboration: Work closely with application development, infrastructure, and operations teams to align database architecture with business requirements.

Technical Skills & Expertise

Relational Databases: Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server

Good to Have:

Other SQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL

NoSQL databases like Cassandra

Cloud Platforms: Proven experience managing databases on Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Scripting & Automation: Knowledge of PowerShell, Python, or Shell scripting

Monitoring & Observability: Experience with tools such as Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

7+ years of overall database administration experience

Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in cloud-based database environments

Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Database – Specialty, Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6-12 months

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
