Cloud Engineer (Azure-Focused)

Location: Hybrid – Cincinnati, OH or Remote

Summary

CoStrategix is seeking an Azure-focused Cloud Engineer to design, build, and

operate secure, scalable cloud platforms supporting modern web and mobile

applications. You will play a key role in enabling engineering teams to deliver features

quickly and reliably while ensuring high availability, performance, and security across

environments.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys owning cloud platforms end-to-end and

working closely with application, DevOps, and security teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

 Design and implement Azure infrastructure supporting APIs, web, and mobile

backends

 Build and maintain secure, highly available environments across dev, test, and

production

 Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps

 Implement infrastructure-as-code using Bicep, ARM, or Terraform

 Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting with Azure Monitor and Application

Insights

 Implement cloud security best practices (RBAC, Key Vault, Managed Identity,

networking)

 Support performance tuning, auto-scaling, and reliability for high-demand

workloads

 Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and operational

improvements

Required Skills & Experience

 3–7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles

 Strong hands-on experience with Azure services, including:

o App Service, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts

o Azure Functions

o API Management

o Azure AD / Entra ID

o Networking, firewalls, and security controls

 Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines

 Strong understanding of cloud security, identity, and environment isolation

 Experience working closely with development teams in a delivery-focused

environment

Highly-Desired Skills & Experience

 Experience supporting .NET-based application deployments

 Familiarity with real-time or event-driven systems

 Containerization experience (Docker, Azure Container Apps, AKS)

 SQL performance tuning experience

 Background in fast-paced or startup-style environments
