Cloud Engineer II

The Cloud Engineer II is a deep technical expert in specific areas of cloud infrastructure, responsible for designing and implementing advanced cloud solutions, optimizing complex environments, and resolving critical issues. This role drives innovation and efficiency within the cloud landscape.

The difference you will make

  • Lead the design and implementation of complex, highly available, scalable, and secure cloud architectures for critical applications and services.
  • Develop advanced Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules and automation frameworks for large-scale deployments.
  • Specialize in a particular cloud domain, such as network architecture, security, cost optimization, serverless computing, or container orchestration.
  • Conduct in-depth performance analysis, capacity planning, and cost management for cloud resources, implementing advanced optimization strategies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex cloud infrastructure and application issues, often involving multiple cloud services.
  • Evaluate and integrate new cloud technologies, services, and best practices to enhance the cloud platform.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to other Cloud Engineers.
  • Contribute to the development of cloud governance policies, security standards, and compliance frameworks.
  • Lead discussions on cloud solution design, architecture reviews, and technical debt mitigation.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expert proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with strong cross-cloud knowledge.
  • Mastery of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi) and advanced scripting/automation.
  • Deep expertise in cloud networking, security, IAM, and resilient architecture (performance, DR, cost optimization).
  • Extensive hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, GKE) plus serverless environments.
  • Strong background in cloud database services (SQL & NoSQL) and data warehousing solutions.
  • Advanced cloud certifications and active contribution to open-source cloud/infrastructure projects.
