Cloud Engineer Mid -Senior

Role overview
Design, build, and run scalable, secure cloud platforms that let teams move fast and reliably — you’ll tame complexity with automation, shape resilient architectures, and turn business needs into production-ready cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Build CI/CD pipelines and platform automation to speed safe releases.
• Implement scalable networking, container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS/AKS/GKE), and serverless patterns.
• Optimize cost, performance, and observability: monitoring, logging, and incident response.
• Harden environments with security best practices: IAM, secrets management, encryption, and compliance controls.
• Lead migrations, cloud-native refactors, and operational runbooks; perform capacity planning.
• Mentor engineers, run design reviews, and drive platform standards and tooling.
• Automate repetitive tasks with Python/Go/Bash and integrate with SRE/DevOps workflows.

Required skills & qualifications

• 4–8+ years’ experience in cloud engineering or SRE roles; hands-on with at least one major cloud provider.
• Strong IaC experience (Terraform or CloudFormation) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Go, or Bash) and CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Deep understanding of networking, security, and identity in cloud environments.
• Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and incident management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, system design, and cross-team communication skills.

A plus but not required

• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP), experience with cost engineering, and familiarity with service mesh, policy-as-code, or platform engineering frameworks.

KPIs / success measures

• Platform uptime and MTTR.
• Deployment lead time and change failure rate.
• Infrastructure cost efficiency and automated runbook coverage.
• Number of self-service platform features delivered.

Pay: QAR20.50 - QAR45.50 per hour
