Cloud Engineer, Network
FedPoint is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer, Network to lead critical networking initiatives and help shape a secure, high performing infrastructure across both on premises and cloud environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving challenging problems, and wants to make a direct impact on enterprise level systems.
As a key member of our IT Infrastructure team, you will take ownership of network architecture, performance, and security while ensuring alignment with NIST 800 53 standards. You will play a lead role in strengthening our AWS cloud networking environment and maintaining the reliability of our corporate WAN and LAN.
- Lead network architecture initiatives across cloud and on premises environments
- Own and resolve network outages, including root cause analysis and long term solutions
- Design, implement, and support secure networking solutions including firewalls, segmentation, and load balancing
- Manage AWS cloud networking components and support cloud migration efforts
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Monitor network performance, develop alerting, and improve system reliability
- Partner with security teams to enforce compliance with NIST and HIPAA standards
- Lead projects from planning through execution and drive process improvements
- Collaborate with cross functional teams across infrastructure, cloud, and systems
- 7 or more years of experience in network engineering within a 24 by 7 environment
- Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, and cloud networking
- Hands on experience with AWS and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform
- Experience with technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, load balancers, and web application firewalls
- Knowledge of network protocols and services including DNS, DHCP, BGP, and VPNs
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform deep root cause analysis
- Experience supporting compliance frameworks such as NIST
- Ability to lead initiatives, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively
