This newly created Cloud & Infrastructure Solution Designer role puts you at the heart of Zurich's technology transformation. You'll partner closely with application and platform teams to design secure, resilient and scalable infrastructure and cloud solutions that power our products and experiences-accelerating delivery while lifting reliability and compliance across our hybrid and multi cloud environment.

Working with established services and patterns from our internal service catalogue, you'll translate application needs into practical infrastructure blueprints, guide teams through implementation, and help shape the connectivity patterns that enable on premises, cloud to cloud and third party integrations. Your work will directly support our Digital North Star-becoming Australia's Leading Digital Insurer-by removing friction, uplifting engineering standards and unlocking speed with safety.

You will also be responsible for the following:

• Collaborate with application teams to understand requirements and design infrastructure, cloud and network solutions using approved service catalogue items and reusable patterns.
• Design secure, scalable connectivity across on premises environments, public cloud and third party services; document network flows, security zones and integration points.
• Ensure designs align with enterprise architecture, security and compliance standards; champion best practice adoption across delivery teams.
• Guide teams through the full lifecycle-from design to deployment-acting as a trusted advisor on infrastructure and cloud capabilities.
• Provide feedback to platform teams on service catalogue gaps and improvement opportunities to continually raise the bar.
• Apply deep AWS networking expertise (e.g., VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect) within hybrid and multi cloud architectures

You're a pragmatic solution designer who thrives in transformation-equally comfortable shaping architecture and rolling up your sleeves with teams. You bring proven experience in AWS and hybrid connectivity, clear communication, and a bias for reusable patterns that deliver secure, reliable outcomes at pace.

In order to be successful, you will have the following:

• 5+ years in infrastructure, cloud or network solution design within enterprise/regulated environments.
• Hands on AWS networking (VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect) and experience across multi cloud and hybrid connectivity models.
• Proven design of third party to cloud and cloud to ground integrations; strong grasp of segmentation, routing, firewalls, VPNs and DNS.
• Familiarity with service catalogues and infrastructure as a service; ability to interpret/apply reference architectures and infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Experience partnering with application architects, developers and DevOps; excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of identity and access management concepts and tools (e.g., Okta, IAM, SSO).
