Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Chainbridge Technologies is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cloud Security Engineer to join our mission-driven team. This role bridges application-level security and systems analysis, supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, scalable systems, primarily within Azure environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both technical and business processes, enabling them to collaborate across teams and ensure robust security measures are integrated throughout our systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business and security requirements for new and existing applications.
  • System Design & Configuration: Assist in designing secure applications and systems aligned with business goals and compliance standards.
  • Security Analysis: Interpret results from security scans (e.g., Nessus, Fortify, WebInspect), identify vulnerabilities, and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Support: Work within Azure environments, including App Services, Blob Storage, Function App, and Entra ID, to ensure secure and efficient system operations.
  • Testing & Validation: Develop and execute test plans to validate application functionality and security compliance.
  • User Support: Provide support and training to users, troubleshooting issues with a focus on secure practices.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation including system specifications, user guides, and security protocols.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, project managers, and senior engineers to ensure successful project delivery and adherence to security best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and best practices in application security and cloud technologies.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in systems analysis, application security, or a related role.
  • Familiarity with Azure services such as App Services, Blob Storage, Function Apps, and Entra ID.
  • Experience with security tools like Fortify, WebInspect, and Nessus.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with RedHat Linux and tools like Databricks and Posit is a plus.
  • Knowledge of security management and compliance frameworks (NIST, etc).

Additional Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen residing within the U.S. with the ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance.

Salary

$85k-105K dependent on skillset, experience and location
