Job Title: Part-Time Cloud Server Maintenance Specialist

Location: Remote / On-site (depending on company requirements)

Job Type: Part-Time (10-20 hours per week)

We are a fast-growing tech company focused on delivering reliable and scalable cloud-based solutions to our clients. Our cloud infrastructure is critical to our operations, and we're looking for a part-time Cloud Server Maintenance Specialist to help manage and optimize our cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure Management:
• Perform regular maintenance on cloud servers (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
• Monitor the health, performance, and security of cloud-based servers and applications.
• Configure and optimise cloud instances and resources as needed (e.g., load balancing, auto-scaling).
• Backup & Recovery:
• Ensure regular backups of cloud instances and applications are running as scheduled.
• Assist in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
• Security and Compliance:
• Monitor for any security threats or vulnerabilities within the cloud infrastructure.
• Apply necessary security patches, updates, and configurations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) as needed.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
• Use monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog) to track cloud resource utilization.
• Implement cost optimisation strategies for cloud resources (e.g., unused resource elimination, right-sizing).
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
• Provide support in identifying and resolving cloud server-related issues.
• Perform troubleshooting for application and network-related problems.
• Documentation:
• Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation on cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
• Update runbooks and incident response plans as necessary.
• Collaboration & Reporting:
• Collaborate with the DevOps, development, and IT teams to ensure the cloud infrastructure supports ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Provide regular reports on server health, performance, and maintenance activities.3

Requirements:

• Experience:
• Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with cloud-based server management and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with server monitoring, backups, and security best practices.

Skills:

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of networking and firewall configurations.
• Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows server environments.
• Understanding of cloud security protocols and best practices.

Tools & Technologies:

• Monitoring tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, Nagios).
• Cloud management tools (e.g., AWS Console, Azure Portal, GCP Console).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) is a plus.

Other:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹6,000.00 per month

Expected hours: No less than 6 per week
