Cloud Tools & DevOps Engineer – VMware Platform

The Cloud Tools & DevOps Engineer will be responsible for implementing, managing, automating, and optimizing VMware-based private cloud platforms and DevOps toolchains supporting enterprise and telecom environments. The role will focus on cloud automation, infrastructure orchestration, CI/CD enablement, observability, security, and operational efficiency across VMware cloud infrastructure. The engineer will also support Cloud CoE initiatives, automation frameworks, reusable assets, platform engineering practices, and modernization programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support administration and automation of VMware private cloud platforms.
• Manage provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and lifecycle operations.
• Implement infrastructure automation and self-service capabilities.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment.
• Automate deployment, configuration, and operational workflows.
• Develop reusable Infrastructure-as-Code templates and automation scripts.
• Maintain version-controlled repositories using Git/GitLab workflows.
• Implement infrastructure monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Support Kubernetes/OpenShift and VMware Tanzu platform operations.
• Implement secure automation practices including RBAC, secrets management, and compliance enforcement.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, automation, and deployment issues.
• Support incident, change, release, and problem management activities.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.
• Contribute to reusable accelerators, templates, and platform engineering standards.
• Participate in PoCs, innovation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional delivery and operations teams.
