Job Title: Club Hospitality Specialist
Department: Food & Beverage - Club
Status: Seasonal FT
Reporting To: Club F&B Director
Position Overview:
The Club Hospitality Specialist is a versatile front-of-house team member who helps deliver exceptional food and beverage experiences across Powder Haven's private club venues, including Skylodge, Powder Landing, and special events throughout the resort.
This role combines elements of serving, bartending, and specialty coffee service. One shift may involve preparing espresso drinks for members, another may focus on cocktail service, private events, or elevated dining experiences. The ideal candidate is adaptable, hospitality-driven, and enjoys creating memorable guest experiences in a luxury mountain setting.
Successful team members are professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards. They take pride in anticipating guest needs, supporting their teammates, and representing the Powder Haven brand with warmth and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Hospitality & Private Community Experience

Create a welcoming, professional atmosphere throughout club facilities and member spaces.

Greet members and guests, build rapport, and provide knowledgeable recommendations about resort amenities, events, and offerings.

Anticipate guest needs and deliver attentive, personalized service.

Maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when interacting with members, homeowners, and VIP guests.

Work closely with culinary, beverage, and operations teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Coffee & Beverage Service
-
Prepare specialty espresso drinks, coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty beverages according to established recipes and standards.

Maintain knowledge of beverage offerings, ingredients, preparation methods, and common dietary restrictions or allergens.

Ensure beverage ingredients, supplies, and garnishes are properly stocked, prepared, and presented for service.
-
Recommend coffee, beverage, and cocktail pairings to enhance the dining experience.
Bar Service & Operations

Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty beverages in accordance with company standards and Utah alcohol service regulations.

Prepare house-made syrups, mixers, infusions, and garnishes as needed.

Set up, maintain, and break down bar and coffee service stations.

Maintain organization, cleanliness, and readiness of all beverage service areas.
Dining Service & Table Standards

Present food and beverage menus and answer questions regarding menu offerings and daily features.

Accurately take orders and deliver food and beverages in a timely manner.

Maintain dining room standards through table maintenance, resetting, and attentive guest service.

Utilize POS systems to enter orders, record guest preferences, and process payments accurately.
Cleanliness, Logistics & Compliance

Maintain cleanliness of dining rooms, beverage stations, bars, and service areas, including routine cleaning and sanitizing tasks.

Polish and maintain glassware, silverware, dishware, and serving equipment.

Assist with inventory management, including stocking, rotating, and replenishing supplies and ingredients.

Follow all company policies and state guidelines (including Utah DABS) regarding food handling, sanitation, alcohol service, and safety protocols.
Requirements and/or Qualifications:
-
21+ years of age (required for state alcohol service compliance).
-
Required: Active Utah Food Handler’s Permit and Utah Sips & Tips Certification.

2+ years of professional experience as a Barista, Bartender, or Server, preferably within an upscale hospitality environment, luxury resort, or private club.

Strong technical baseline in dial-in calibration, espresso extraction, milk texturing, and classic cocktail mixology.

Polished, articulate, polite, and exceptionally communicative with team members and affluent guests.

High adaptability and an innate desire to provide a superb, elevated guest experience.

Uphold excellent personal hygiene and professional, polished uniform standards.

Reliable transportation capable of handling mountain driving in winter conditions (4-Wheel Drive or utilizing the UTA system).
Physical Requirements- Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:

Full range of body movements.

Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry heavy objects, including loaded cocktail trays, coffee kegs, mobile station parts, and stock items (40+ lbs).

Prolonged periods of standing, moving, walking, bending, twisting, and physical cleaning tasks.

Navigate and walk confidently on even, uneven, steep, or slippery mountain terrain.

Climb and descend stairs or ladders safely.

Alternating workflow between indoor private lodges, local community stations, and outdoor deck environments at 8,000+ feet elevation.
